Spring Cleaning (Part III)

Today’s Spring Cleaning post will be the last in the ‘Spring Cleaning’ series. In ‘Part III’ we are going to discuss the antibacterial and antiviral properties of White Thyme Essential Oil.

White Thyme (Thymus zygis)

White Thyme Essential Oil helps kill airborne bacteria and fends off infectious diseases. Try using 3-5 drops in an Oil Burner. White Thyme Essential Oil can also be used in cleaning mixtures.

Antibacterial Spray

2 cups Water

2 Tablespoons Liquid Castile Soap

1 Tablespoon White Thyme Essential Oil

10 drops Lavender Essential Oil

Pour ingredients into a spray bottle. Shake to mix. Use this mixture to clean sinks, toilet seats, and other surface areas you wish to disinfect. Spray surfaces and let sit for 20-30 minutes. Wipe down with a clean, damp cloth.

White Thyme Essential Oil can also be added to your laundry (2-4 Tablespoons per load, depending on load size) for fresh, clean, disinfected towels and bath cloths.

Happy Spring Cleaning!
