August – September, 2014 Spiritual and Magical Properties of Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils, and Herbs

Thursday and Friday, August 7th and 8th, 2014

Daily Personal Power Boosting Colors

To increase and improve your energy every day and help to repel the negative.

Thursday (8-7): Green, Burgundy, Turquoise, Lavender, White

Friday (8-8): White, Purple, Pink, Orange, Red

A glamorous life is how we will be feeling Thursday. The entire week has been great for connections and business dealing. This continues into the weekend, which ends with a potent full moon. We will be dreamy and yet active Thursday. This is a good energy for adding creative actions to the plans and projects we are working on. If you have a flash of inspiration or feel the need to be creative, go for it today. You will be happy with the results.

Both Thursday and Friday are good days for getting work done well and thoroughly. We will not be super fast but everything will be done with deliberate purpose and with deep care to be sure it is stable and solid. This is great energy for making changes that we want to last. Anything that is focused on stability and security in our lives will have a great energy to build on if we start it during these two days.

Inspiration will be coming from out of the blue. Get your paper and pen ready to capture the flashes. You never know what great solutions will pop into our minds now.

We build into the full moon with the feeling that we are having to really work for what we want and need. There is nothing more rewarding in life than to create a dream in our heart and soul then pursue using our resources, talents, intuition, creativity and actions. Without ACTION nothing becomes reality. With this energy, efforts which seem to be intense and perhaps even a struggle will be rewarded later on with dreams coming true for us.

Summer’s Supermoon by Joe Rao

Twice each month, the Sun, Earth and Moon form a straight (or nearly straight) line in space, called a “syzygy.”  At these times, the Moon is either at full or new phase and we can expect tides to run somewhat higher than normal.  Twice each year, once at full and once at new phase, the Moon will also be very near perigee, its closest point to the Earth.  These perigee Moons can produce the highest tides of the year.

On August 10th at 2 p.m. EDT, the Moon will arrive at its closest point to the Earth in 2014:  a perigee distance of 221,765 miles away.  Just nine minutes later, the Moon will officially turn full.  Though full Moon theoretically lasts just a moment, the moment is imperceptible to ordinary observation, and for a day or two before and after most will speak of seeing the nearly full Moon as “full” (the shaded strip is so narrow, and changing in apparent width so slowly, that it is hard for the naked eye to tell whether it’s present or on which side it is).

The near coincidence of the August 10th full Moon with perigee will result in a dramatically large range of high and low ocean tides.  Any coastal storm at sea around this time will almost certainly aggravate coastal flooding problems.  Such an extreme tide is known as a perigean spring tide, the word spring being derived from the German springen – to “spring up,” not a reference to the spring season.

Every month, “spring tides” occur when the Moon is full and new.  At these times the Moon and Sun form a line with the Earth, so their tidal effects add together.  (The Sun exerts a little less than half the tidal force of the Moon.) “Neap tides,” on the other hand, occur when the Moon is at first and last quarter and works cross-purposes with the Sun.  At these times tides are weak.

For those who are well versed in mathematics, tidal force varies as the inverse cube of an objects distance. This month the Moon is 12.2 percent closer at perigee than it was at its extreme apogee – its farthest point from Earth in 2014 – on July 27. Therefore, on August 10th, the Moon will exert about 42 percent more tidal force compared to the spring tides just two weeks earlier.

The 2014 Observer’s Handbook of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada refers to the August 10th Moon as the “largest full Moon in 2014,” – in recent years, a popular connotation for a full Moon that coincides with perigee has been “Supermoon” – the variation of the Moon’s distance is not readily apparent to observers viewing the Moon directly.  To those living near the Bay of Fundy in eastern Canada, however, the rapid increase in the vertical tidal range of as much as 20 feet or more makes it quite obvious when the Moon is near perigee, whether the sky is clear or cloudy!

 Saturday and Sunday – August 9th and 10th, 2014

Daily Personal Power Boosting Colors

To increase and improve your energy every day and help to repel the negative.

Saturday (8-9): Brown, Black, Silver, Blue

Sunday (8-10): Yellow, Orange, Gold, Red

Saturday and Sunday are both full moon days with the moon coming up and getting fuller Saturday night into Sunday. Then Sunday the moon will rise in the Western hemisphere just after it is totally full. Take time for some moon gazing on either night if you get the chance. It is another super moon. A moon that is close to the Earth and at an angle which makes it seem very big, bright and almost near enough to touch. For those who know the lore, the rabbit doctor on the moon will be sitting upright and in total view. (This is a Chinese tale of the medicine Rabbit doctor that lives on the moon and creates herbal healing potions.)

Gemstones can be charged these nights in the moonlight. Other items can be charged in the full moon light as well. Such as any jewelry, cups, bowls, ritual items and anything you might want to capture the energy of balancing focus on our self with including others that comes with this Moon.

Most of us have some part of our life that is still feeling stagnant or like it is not moving fast enough for us. Keep gathering your facts, do your research and continue to work the plan. Whether we are aware of it or not, things are happening under the surface and in the lives of others that will see our goals become reality very soon. We have to keep up our end of the bargain which is to never, ever give up.

Enjoy the weekend and CELEBRATE!!!!!! The Energy Flow REPORT is back after a short absence. Thanks to everyone for your love, good wishes and support through my transition. I want you all to know that dreams do come true. Even in the darkest hour when it seems there could be no way possible for anything to change or for the impossible to happen. It is, it does, it will, it has and it is because we never give up….see that theme…keep after it, until it is done right. Even if you cannot see the way, the how, the why or where the support will come from. You have a duty to your dream to continue to pursue it until it has full life. And a duty to your spirit to become more than you could ever imagine….now GO!!! Get ‘er Done!

Full Moon in Aquarius & Lunar Lamas — Sunday
As the world turns she spins with her shadow. Learn to see negative and positive in balance; sometimes it is the darkness that shows us her gift, sometimes the light. As we become more and more dependent on the virtual world for our community and relationships, our adventures and realities, so many of us are losing our visceral connections to Gaia. Balance the shift of mind and imagination with the ground beneath your feet.

Go out on the land to feel Gaia’s rhythms pulse through your body: take time to be with trees, with shore and sea, with stone. Seek out a singing wolf, a whale, a woodpecker drumming in the dawn like a shaman; let a wild wind unsettle the hair on the back of your neck. Make sure the next generation knows of the beauty of Earth: take children to see how a plant moves through seed, sapling, flower, fruit, husk—how birds live, how stars and moon shine in a sky undimmed by city lights.

The Full Moon in Aquarius August the 11th 2014 EST

Metaphysical Meaning

This month’s full moon is one of 3 Super moons for the year. Perigee moons happen on average every 13 months and 18 days, so three in a row is unusual, although strangely enough, the same thing happened last year. When this occurs, the moon is around 31,000 miles closer to earth than at its farthest point the apogee. High and low tides will be more extreme, so out with your fishing rods all you anglers – this promises to be a good weekend for fishing.

It also happens to coincide with the Perseid meteor showers where 120 meteors per hour will be shooting across the heavens. Star gazers may miss out on many of the dimmer ones and only be able to enjoy the brightest ones at a rate of about 30 per hour.

The August moon is also called the Green Corn Moon, the Grain Moon and the red moon for the reddish hue it often takes on in the northern hemisphere’s summer haze. In the southern Hemisphere it is notoriously a time in the farmer’s almanac to plant their crops, as it marks the beginning of the lambing season and follows closely after Imbolc.

Spiritual Meaning

The Aquarius moon symbolizes the cosmic mind, a higher order of thinking. It demands that we find a way to work together for the benefit of all humanity. It encourages us to take a broader vision of our world with added enthusiasm and idealism and, being in the time of Leo, creativity could be at an all-time high. We will be bursting with new ideas – sudden insights. This moon is taking us from breakdown to breakthrough and promises transformation of consciousness.

Spiritual Quote
The more you love and value yourself (Leo)
the more you have to give to others (Aquarius).

The Moon will oppose Mercury as well, which creates a pull between our rational thinking and our emotions. Saturn in Scorpio will apply pressure by forming a square to both moon and Mercury which will force situations or issues to bump up against stuck emotions. But if you make an effort to discipline (Saturn) yourself to think (Mercury) creatively (Leo) you may be blessed (Jupiter) with a real (Saturn) innovation (Aquarius) in some area of your life.

It is an excellent time for mental discipline and hard work. Get ready for a completely unconventional weekend where anything goes! Aquarius doesn’t covet other people’s property, and doesn’t even understand jealousy. Everything belongs to everybody, even when it comes to matters of the heart.  –  © Jyoti Eagles

Moon in Pisces — Monday through Wednesday

When the Moon’s in Pisces we feel everything. The mood is sensitive, intuitive, permeable, subjective, and imaginative; energy may be low and feelings close to the surface. It is time to be gentle with oneself and others, and put the creative sensitivity to good use. Water both plants and souls, swim in dreamtime.
One born under a Pisces Moon has extra layers of awareness. She can be charming, introspective, and compassionate, with prickles when her feelings aren’t respected. Her challenges are to discern the difference between imagination and intuition, to manifest her dreams and to find creative uses for her sensitivity.

Sun in Virgo — Friday

Mutable Earth Virgo calls in the harvest; we get to work, reap what we’ve sown and organize for the winter ahead. It’s time to evaluate, find allies, throw out waste and make plans. We also need to remember to let summer’s kind warmth linger in our hearts.

Virgoan souls are happiest when they love their work and can put their analytical minds together with a quietly compassionate heart for good purpose. They evaluate, diagnose and edit with ease, but need something to chew on. Their strong mind-body connection and ability to see the problem is their gift and challenge.

New Moon in Virgo – party’s over – time to clean up the mess

The HermitAfter the many ego excesses of Leo, it’s time to drop back and regroup and what better energy with which to do this, than with pure Virgo.

In the tarot, Virgo corresponds with the 9th card of the Major Arcana, The Hermit.

The Hermit is a venerable and mysterious figures of solitary intention. Leaning on his staff, he pauses to hold up his lamp (of intellect) and drive away the darkness (of ignorance).

Contrary to popular belief, the Hermit is not a lonely, sorry individual bereft of family and friends. Quite the opposite. He is the kind old wise man whom others eagerly seek out.

But in many respects he does stand alone in that he separates himself from the crowd so that he’s no longer controlled by their moods and desires.

To be like The Hermit does not mean you must renounce society.

But what it does mean is that you must stand aside from it long enough to turn on your own lamp to discover who and what you really are.

What would you do, be, wear, or think if no one else were watching?

What would you spend all your time doing – not for money to be gained from it – but for the pure joy of doing it?

What would it feel like to forget all your troubles?

This is not to suggest your troubles have gone away – but only that if you can use the energy of the new moon in Virgo wisely, you and your troubles will no longer be one and the same.

Blend together the following essential oils in 1/4 ounce of carrier oil:

3 drops Cajeput

4 drops Lavender

4 drops Lemons

4 drops Siberian Fir

Swirl gently until all oils are thoroughly mixed.

This is a great oil to use whenever you want to drive out negative thoughts.

Use this recipe when the new moon is in Virgo.

Place 8 to 10 drops in your bath. Wear the blend as a body perfume. Place 3 to 5 drops in a dish of water added to an Aroma Lamp, Diffuser, or Oil Burner.

Moon in Libra — Wednesday through Saturday
When the Moon’s in Libra the beauty way calls us to balance our lives and loves. The mood is sociable, friendly, open, diplomatic, romantic, curious, indecisive, and aesthetic. It’s time to pursue social justice and negotiate as equals, time to beautify our world and nurture relationships. One born under a Libra Moon is a natural peacemaker. She sees all sides of a problem and can lead the way beyond controversy to a shared perspective. She values fairness, aesthetics, and peaceful surroundings. Her challenges are to know her own mind, to handle conflict smoothly, and to balance relationship with purposeful work.

Full Harvest Moon
The Full Harvest Moon will appear round and fullonallthenights around this full moon.Harvest’s full moon’s name is attributed to Native Americans because it marked when corn was supposed to be harvested. Most often, the September full moon is actually the Harvest Moon, which is the full Moon that occurs closest to the autumn equinox. In two years out of three, the Harvest Moon comes in September, but in some years it occurs in October. At the peak of harvest, farmers can work late into the night by the light of this Moon. Usually the full Moon rises an average of 50 minutes later each night, but for the few nights around the Harvest Moon, the Moon seems to rise at nearly the same time each night: just 25 to 30 minutes later across the U.S., and only 10 to 20 minutes later for much of Canada and Europe. Corn, pumpkins, squash, beans, and wild rice the chief Indian staples are now ready for gathering. So why is this moon – the moon closest to the autumnal equinox – called the Harvest Moon? The shorter-than-usual timebetweenmoonrises around the full Harvest Moon means no long period of darkness between sunset and moonrise for days in succession. In the days before tractor lights, the lamp of the Harvest Moon helped farmers to gather their crops, despite the diminishing daylight hours. As the sun’s light faded in the west, the moon would soon rise in the east to illuminate the fields throughout the night.Who named the Harvest Moon? Full Moon names date back to Native Americans, of what is now the northern and eastern United States. The tribes kept track of the seasons by giving distinctive names to each recurring full Moon. Their names were applied to the entire month in which each occurred. There was some variation in the Moon names, but in general, the same ones were current throughout the Algonquin tribes from New England to Lake Superior. European settlers followed that custom and created some of their own names. Since the lunar month is only 29 days long on the average, the full Moon dates shift from year to year That name probably sprang to the lips of farmers throughout the Northern Hemisphere, on autumn evenings, as the Harvest Moon aided in bringing in the crops.Things To Do During A Full Moon!Start With:

September Super Moon – Chiron Flavored

September’s full moon will be in Pisces, bringing us one of the most spiritual lunation’s of the year. This months full moon is the last of three super moon for the year, making it extremely potent. The week leading up to this event brings with it a grand fire trine with Neptune, Jupiter and Venus, adding to the mystical, magical and rather dreamy atmosphere of the September Harvest Moon. It is also conjunct the wounded healer Chiron.

The “Perigee moon” is up to 30 percent brighter than other full moons and they occur when there is a direct alignment of the Earth, Moon and Sun.   As we know, Moon phases have a great influence on our emotions, particularly women, and this month, as it is in a water sign, they will be noticeably affected by the intensified energies.

It is a perfect climate to bring about some changes, which are desperately needed on the planet, by joining forces beyond the veil and sending peace and love to our brothers and sisters who are suffering at the hands of deluded aggressors.  The power of love is far greater than any power of divide and conquer and when ever more than one is gathered in her name – it is intensely multiplied and magnified.

Whereas the dark moon signifies new beginnings, the Full Moon is when these new beginnings culminate and with a super moon the events will seem even more dramatic and climactic.  Super moons can have us all getting in touch with our feminine sides. As well as the emotional roller coaster, there can be great floods of love and happiness accompanying this event.

The Pisces super moon can bring us back in touch with the bigger picture and provide the opportunity to dream. The positive manifestation of this moon will be those who are sensitive to its powerful force will have the ability to redeem themselves and help others to do so.  There is a great opportunity for salvation and being of service to others.

On a personal level, the healing energy of this chiron flavored moon will bring up childhood wounds, flashback to important milestone in our upbringing and long buried family traumas from our very early years, which could reveal themselves in dreams. We’re all going to feel sensitive to criticism and want to be treated with kid gloves.  We may hurt each other’s feelings without realizing it.

Something important could come to an end, a cycle or way of life. Let’s utilize this opportunity and make it a new cycle of peace and spiritual awakening for our global family. – Jyoti Eagles

Following are some essential oils that you can use (individually or as a blend) for September’s Full Moon:

Cedar, Hyssop, Juniper Berry, Myrtle, Orange, Petitgrain, Rose, Rosewood, Sage, Sandalwood, Tangerine, Tea Tree, and/or Yarrow.

Full Moon Energy Flow and Power Colors September 8-11, 2014

Daily Power Colors for September 8-12, 2014

Monday 9-8: White, Cream, Silver, Lavender

Tuesday 9-9: Black, Silver, Red, White

Wednesday 9-10: Gold, Yellow, Brown, Green

Thursday 9-11: Burgundy, Purple, White, Turquoise, Green

Friday 9-12: Orange, White, Pink, Red

We will spend all day Monday feeling the effects of the growing full moon. This will be a highly emotional, big dreams and grand fantasies type of energy. We are being charged with figuring out how to balance the need to work, pick at the details and make sure everything is “just perfect” and being free, easy and able to go with anything that might happen, no matter how that might change our plans. We need to recognize how much our heart and our dreams are the most important ways we can make the most of our human, physical efforts as we live this life. Compassion for others, using our imagination and intuition are the key items that we need to embrace. This is easier for some than others, as with everything.

Take time during this next month to spend time without any outside input from technology to go on an imaginary trip. You can go to the future, past or to a time/place of the world you have never been. Maybe imagine what it would be like to be an office worker in a high rise in New York City. Or a surfer in Australia. Or a shepherd in the Andes mountains. How about an Egyptian king or an Inca woman. How would you feel if you were a tree? Who would live in you? how would you do in strong winds or heavy rain? Give yourself the treat of total freedom to be anything and everything, using your mind and soul. It is a wonderful feeling.
Also give to others. Something, big or small, does not matter. Just give something that will help another (or more than one other). Being big hearted is a trait of Pisces and this moon is full of that loving, beautiful energy.

Super psychic intuition will also be part of this full moon energy. Hearing things, seeing things, having visions and knowing what others will say or do will be happening to most of us, even those who typically are not “very in tune”. There will be lots of “I was JUST thinking/saying that” and “I just had a feeling that was going to happen” plus vivid dreams of things that will then happen in waking life. Be ready and note anything that is important. These are all ways we are getting the message from The Creator about what The Best Thing for our lives truly is.

Wednesday will see the switch to a faster pace and a bit less patience. Be careful as we are in a dreamy type state from the full moon all week.

Some of us will be faced with making serious, lasting commitments this week also. if you are sure that you will and want to follow through…now is the time to go for it.

Ideas, issues and solutions are coming at us from all directions, and with a quickness. Be sure to use the sudden, creative and “out-of-blue” ideas to help come up with ways to make life, work or problems manageable and fun.

Be careful with feelings and think three times BEFORE blurting out what you are thinking. We will all have moments that we will have very soft feelings that might get hurt on accident. Be sure to remember that if you feel hurt, clarify before you start getting upset. Most likely it is you being too sensitive…the energy is super sensitive this week.

We will need to be on our guard late in the week to be sure we do not have a melt down or go off half-cocked without reason. This is a creative energy also, so try to use that extra intense energy to make something useful instead of starting arguments or challenging others to release that energy. Exercise in any form will help with this mood, a long walk, run or extensive workout will be in order for many of us.

Enjoy the week!

Weekend Moon Energy Report and Power Colors September 12-15, 2014

Daily Power Colors for the weekend:

Friday 9-12: Orange, White, Pink, Red

Saturday 9-13: Brown, Black, Blue, Gray

Sunday 9-14: Yellow, Gold, Orange, White

A stable, comfortable and methodical feeling takes us into the weekend. We will want to feel safe, secure and relaxed. Information has been flying all over the place all week and emotions have been on high. Friday and Saturday help to calm this feeling a bit and give us a rest from the emotional roller coaster. This is in time to give us a breath before we feel the shift late Saturday in our action energy.

We need a bit of grounding to go with the high energy and excitement that is also in place. It is possible to be argumentative and accident prone so take care and drop the issue if it starts to get heated. The good things are we will be able to solve issues and come up with very creative solutions over the next week as part of this energy.

We are also likely to meet up with and very intriguing people. The key is to not jump into anything and do our homework. Find out as much as possible about anyone new who appears in your life and proceed with guarded optimism. Things are not clear and our tendency will be to get caught up in the fun and excitement instead of paying attention to the info our intuition and gut take and assess. WE can have lots of fun, especially this weekend, but we will have to be careful and mind our details.

Try to gather yourself up and walk away, clear the head and keep the mouth shut if you feel like you might be losing control over the next three weeks. Some of us will be provoked into flying off the handle due to a challenging energy wave. This vibration will help us to be ultra-creative and is great for creating and fabrication. It can also cause control issues, so be aware and ready to leave the situation if needed.

Sunday will have us feeling upbeat and full of energy. We have a couple of energies that will work together to give a mental and emotional boost. This will take us into our Monday, plus our action and champion/warrior energy is shifting for the next month to adventure, travel, parties and gatherings. Expect to be busy and luckily productive too!

Waning Half Moon in Gemini — Monday

When the Moon’s in Gemini we need to talk it all out. The mood is funny, open-minded, nervous, versatile, restless, and good for multi-tasking, if not for concentration. Cross-pollinate, share information, edit, weed, network, just keep the heart engaged and avoid gossip. One born under a Gemini Moon is a born communicator. She may have eclectic tastes, appreciates diversity and can help disparate people understand one another. While her fast, curious mind can synthesize and scintillate in the broad view, her challenges are to calm her nervous system and to quietly deepen her mind.

of the year, from his unison with the sun and the earth. Oh … , what a

catastrophe, what a maiming of love when it was a personal, merely personal

feeling, taken away from the rising and the setting of the sun, and cut off

from the magic connection of the solstice and the equinox!

Spring Equinox You may have been feeling a struggle over the last few days, move inwards to clear your path, sit with the struggle and you will see that it is not something outside of you but something inside of you that will be easily shifted once you honestly acknowledge it.
Create an altar today, pick fresh flowers, sit your crystals amongst them, light candles, light incense, smudge, bless, love and be grateful, struggles are a vital part of life, we grow through our struggles, bless them, bless you.

Lunar News — Fall Equinox & Sun in Libra

We give thanks for Gaia’s storehouse of plenty, for this true wealth, as she gives and gives of her body: berries, squashes, beans—more and more we request and receive. Eat, she says, to all creaturely life—this is your being. Honour Gaia’s nature by refusing to squander or disrespect her. Learn to need less and waste nothing; find ways to create sustainability and safeguard the magnificent diversity that is the body of the Goddess.
