New Moon in Virgo

Virgo 1

When the Moon’s in Virgo, our mind and attitude sharpens, our work calls. The mood is thoughtful, sensitive, health-oriented, compassionate and particular; we understand how details create the whole. It is time to edit, weed, critique, analyze, organize, and have faith in the perfection of the whole. One born under a Virgo Moon brings in a soul longing to improve herself and her world. Sensual, connected to the natural world, she is verbal, witty, a natural mystery-seeker and problem solver. Although advice is her way of sharing love, her challenge is to know when to accept, encourage, and play instead.

Partial Solar Eclipse

Visible from S. Africa, S. India and Antarctica

Solar and Lunar Eclipses occur when the Earth, Sun, and Moon align at the Moon’s nodal axis, usually four times a year, during New Moon and Full Moon, respectively. The South (past) and North (future) Nodes symbolize our greater evolutionary path. Eclipses catalyze our destiny’s deeper calling. Use eclipse degrees in your birth chart to identify potential release points.

Fall Equinox
We’Moon

Now Nature is Queen—robed in ruby dawns, golden afternoons, royal purple evenings, and diamond night skies. And that Harvest Moon, O Luna—it’s Harvest Time, all right—partake, share, save a portion for seasons to come.

And then, like a swirling leaf, let go, let go.

Hold on and the winds blow.

Let go and you’re a dancer on the wind.

Autumn copiaThe September Fall/Autumnal equinox occurs the moment the Sun crosses the celestial equator – the imaginary line in the sky above the Earth’s equator – from north to south. This happens on September 22 – 24 and will mark the Autumnal Equinox which signals the beginning of Fall in the northern hemisphere (our friends in the southern hemisphere are celebrating the Spring Equinox). There will be an equal amount of light and darkness during this time, and afterwards the nights grow longer and we head towards winter.

Technically, an equinox is an astronomical point and, due to the fact that the earth wobbles on its axis slightly, the date may vary by a few days depending on the year. The autumnal equinox occurs when the sun crosses the equator on its apparent journey southward, and we experience a day and a night that are of equal duration.

In the rhythm of the year, this Harvest Home marks a time of rest after hard work. The crops are gathered in, and winter is still a month and a half away! This is also a time of celebration after the hard work of harvesting.  Although the nights are getting cooler, the days are still warm, and there is something magical in the sunlight, for it seems silvery and indirect.

This is the time to look back, not just on the past year, but also your life, and to plan for the future. Warm autumn days are followed by chill nights, as the Old Sun God returns to the embrace of the Goddess.

We must remember that all things must come to an end. So the Sun God journeys into the lands of winter and into the Goddess’ loving arms, but endings are a good time to celebrate our successes, thank our selves and those who helped us, and take part in the balance of life!

This is a time of a powerful 3 Day Galactic Portal time and the Birthing of The Shift: whereby there is a wonderful Opportunity to set the pattern/s of your Life to exactly how YOU want it to look, like or be. A beginning of a true quickening of “Realty” shifts based on your “output” of energies of your thoughts, words, intentions, and deeds. A great time for creating with an open -heart based Consciousness. Positive, loving, benevolent, life affirming, compassionate energies bring quick” like” experiences.

On the other hand, Negative, harmful energies No longer have the use or support of Universal Life Force and so will falter…So.. May All Blessings and Good be Yours! Create Wonderfully and Joyfully!

To welcome in this beautiful and magical season use some of the following to embrace all that is good.

Incense or scents to use: Pine, sage, sweetgrass or myrrh.

Seasonal Herbs: Rue, yarrow, rosemary, marigold, sage, walnut leaves and husks, mistletoe, saffron, oat leaves, apple.

Autumn blessings,
Cherokee Billie

A Full Harvest Supermoon Lunar Eclipse

harvest-moon copiaThis week is powerful and you should start making wishes and intentions now as we have had the fall equinox, and are now heading towards an eclipse and full harvest moon on September 27-28, 2015. There will be a supermoon lunar eclipse for the first time since 1982! This is going to be a spectacular sight and if you can get outside to watch it you will be in for a beautiful moment. It happens to be the closest supermoon of 2015. If you miss this one for some reason, you’ll probably regret it as the next one isn’t until 2033.This is a powerful equalizing or neutralizing time, and as such is a good time to finally release things which have been a burden or stress in your life. This causes a temporary rebalancing for you at least for a couple weeks which can be a powerful time to start new projects or to finalize old ones you have been unable to bring a close to. The time is now!

This is the harvest time, where all the hard work and effort we have put into things in the past, so tirelessly, is about to be rewarded. We will start to reap what we have sewn.

Things have not always been easy and you may be feeling tired like you have been working so hard for little reward, but do not give up even though you are tired. Do not quit so close to the finish line as you are nearly there and with the energy that is coming through you will be able to reach your goals.

This is an extra special full moon because there are three major events occurring at the same time. When this happens it is important to acknowledge this event in some special way. Number one is to thank The Creator for the beauty of his creation. Second is to spend some quiet time contemplating how remarkable the gift of life is. Third is to do something special to show your appreciation for the fact that you are here to witness these events. Take time to envision peace within yourself and the world. Peace has to start with you before it can go out into the world.

This September full moon is also called a Blood Moon, because it presents the fourth and final eclipse of a lunar tetrad: four straight total eclipses of the moon, spaced at six lunar months (full moons) apart. Phew! Generally speaking, we can say the moon stays full all night on September 27-28.

Think of this coming Eclipse as a gateway into a new world where we will all have a deeper understanding of humanity, our purpose and what life is all about.

In traditional skylore, the Harvest Moon is the full moon closest to the autumnal equinox. This is known as the Nut Moon. The Ripe Corn Festival is held in the early part of this moon to acknowledge the Corn Mother and the Earth Mother. The Brush Feast festival is also held. Fruits and nuts are still being gathered, much of which goes into breads. Hunting in earnest begins.

Things To Do During A Full Moon!

Start With:
Cleansing Your Spirit
Clean out closets and drawers
Clean off the clutter around your sleeping area

You can take your time and do this cleaning over the next few weeks. It will benefit you enormously on your spiritual path.

It is time for us to spiritually shed the dead parts from our souls, just like the trees are letting go of the leaves, and make way for the new growth that is being released at this sacred time. This is your opportunity to advance your soul growth. Do not let this moment pass you by.

Full Moon Blessings,
Cherokee Billie

    1. I would recommend a daily bath using 8 to 10 drops of the following recipe. Use it everyday until you begin to feel better.
1 ounce carrier oil (jojoba, sesame, almond, peach kernel, etc…)
      15 drops Juniper essential oil
      15 drops Grapefruit essential oil
      15 drops Patchouli essential oil
Swirl gently until all oils are thoroughly mixed.

Follow up with a massage oil for your back and stomach, at least twice a day until you begin to feel better, then you can cut back to one massage a day.
1 ounce carrier oil (see previous)
      15 drops Hyssop essential oil
      15 drops Mandarin essential oil
      15 drops Rosemary essential oil

All of the above carrier oils and essential oils can be purchased at: https://www.mountainroseherbs.com/#AID=138229
