Daily Prompt: Idyllic

What does your ideal community look like? How is it organized, and how is community life structured? What values does the community share?

My ideal community would be 300,000 acres spread across a mountainous region near a lake or river. Homes could be solitary or in groups, as preferred by home owners. Each home owner would be responsible for not only his home, but his neighbors, as well, if needed. He/She would be responsible for their closest solitary neighbors, also.
Food would be grown by each and a communal garden for the entire community. Meat would come from fishing and hunting. The families would raise cattle, chickens, and horses.
Councils would meet monthly to make sure everyone was being looked after and that all had plenty. Gatherings would be held quarterly for all to gather and visit. The Gatherings would be held in a central area along the lake or river.
Each and every person would have their own chores and responsibilities. The community would be filled with families that valued honesty, love, respect, and responsibility.
