August New Moon Essential Oil Recipes

image

A NEW MOON occurs on Friday, August 14, 2015, at 9:53 AM CST. This new moon falls in the zodiac sign of Leo. The planet Venus is in alignment with the August new moon bringing soft, subtle tones of affection and love. On the 19th of August Venus shows herself again as the morning star rises in the east.

A New Moon marks the beginning of a new cycle. The Cancer New Moon cycle ends and the Leo New Moon cycle begins. The New Moon in Leo is an excellent time for formulating some goals regarding “all things Leo”.

The keywords for this self-expressive fire sign — such things as proud, magnanimous, generous, hospitable, caring, warm, authoritative, active, and open — and consider ways to incorporate these traits into your personality.

With this potent Leo energy, we have the chance to make important changes in our lives that will benefit us well beyond this Moon cycle. It’s time to make some plans and to set the stage for reaping the rewards from our new beginnings, as little or big as they may be, in approximately two weeks’ time after the Full Moon occurs.

Venus is retrograde during this new moon adding a nostalgic memorable energy to the culmination of events during the new moon. With the energy of Leo and Venus in your corner this month strength is found to take a little risk and pursue those relationships and friendships before their lost behind the sun with Venus.

If you were the architect of one existing building, which building would you select?

Stackable Solar Skyscraper, Mexico City

Nearly every level of the massive, airy Vertical Park design for Mexico City by Jorge Hernandez de la Garza contains solar panels to harvest all the sun it needs to provide power for homes, offices and recreation space. The stackable design allows expansion and even relocation as necessary, adding more sky gardens and urban farms.

What is one of your favorite quotes?

“You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.”
Max Ehrmann, Desiderata: A Poem for a Way of Life

What color do you feel most comfortable wearing?

Browns and Oranges go best with my complexion, but I’m most comfortable wearing blue.

What is something you learned in the last week?

Actually, I learned it just a few minutes ago while searching for famous solar buildings. The White House now has solar panels installed on it’s roof.

Bonus question:  What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?

Last week, I was grateful to have my family from Kentucky come down to visit for the 4th of July Holiday weekend.

This week I’m looking forward to helping with my youngest grandson’s 1st Birthday Portraits and taking my oldest grandson to the splash pad.
