These 6 Essential Oils Are Great Natural Alternatives to Pharmaceutical Medicines

by Seth M
Expanded Consciousness

The pharmaceutical industry has come under fire recently in light of overwhelming evidence suggesting the production of malicious medications that actually keep people sick, and thus reliant on drugs. “The Truth About Cancer” documentary series is a great place to start if you’re just now learning about the true nature of prescription drugs.

As one could imagine, people have become completely turned off to the idea of pharmaceuticals, and are seeking out new, natural and alternative treatment options. Including essential oils. Derived from various plants, flowers, herbs, fruits and other naturally-occurring substances, essential oils are used for a variety of different reasons, including improving one’s overall health and well-being.

There are over 90 different essential oils available today; here are six that are used for everyday purposes:

Lavender

A natural favorite for many people, Lavender can be applied to almost any part of the body and tastes great when mixed into lemon water. Health benefits of this essential oil include reduced anxiety, faster healing of wounds, improved sleep, healthy skin complexion, anti-aging properties, relief from joint pain, and it fights symptoms of diabetes.

Lemon

Lemon, as you may or may not know, is chock-full of healthy properties. It can be used in cleaning solutions, soaps, and toothpastes, or as a breath freshener. Lemon oil provides health benefits like improved oral hygiene, improved digestive functioning, sore throat relief, stomach pain and nausea relief, and even acts as an aid in weight loss.

Peppermint

Considered one of the more versatile essential oils, peppermint can be used for a lot of things. Not only is it perfect for muscle pain and migraines, but it also helps treat sinus infections, itching of the skin, sunburns, fevers, ADHD, and can improve hair health. It’s also been seen to be effective in treating cancer, to some extent.

Frankincense

This essential oil is often referred to as the “king of oils,” and with good reason. It is great for people seeking to reduce stress levels, reach deeper levels of meditation, improve the health of their skin, or reduce the visibility of stretch marks and scars. It also provides a healthy boost to the immune system, helping to prevent how often you get sick.

Sandalwood

This essential oil is perfect for anyone wanting to add a bit of clarity to their life. It naturally promotes improved memory function, clarity of the mind, relaxation, and calmness. And, as an added bonus, it’s a natural aphrodisiac, so you can use it to spice things up in the bedroom!

Tea Tree

Tea tree oil is a great solution for dealing with problems relating to the skin and the respiratory system. Not only is great for treating ingrown hairs, but it also helps treat acne, chickenpox, cold sores, respiratory infections, earaches, fungal infections, head lice, psoriasis, and halitosis.

Rare Full Moon on Christmas

Christmas full moon2 copia

Here’s good news to all who love a holiday delight. Santa Claus will have a rare treat to guide his sleigh with this year – bright light powered by a rare full moon on Christmas Day.

It will be the first full moon on Christmas Day since 1977. The Moon will be entirely illuminated by the Sun at 6:11 a.m. EST (11:11 a.m. GMT) on Friday December 25, so you will see the brightest Moon at night either side of that time. This comes three days after the shortest day of the year in the Northern Hemisphere, the winter solstice, on Tuesday December 22.

This week is filled with blessings from The Divine. So take some time to stop in the midst of the chaos of the holidays and appreciate all of the spiritual blessings that are coming to us at this time.

December’s full moon is known as a “Full Cold Moon,” but it rarely falls on Christmas Day. NASA reports that the next full moon on Christmas won’t come until the year 2034, so if you want to see the rare treat, this year is the only option for a very long time.

Can you feel the tension, truth and emotions rise? This is the last full moon of the year and often gives way to a lot of emotions we have hidden! Not to worry!  Let the light into your heart and you will find your own truth. Find the spark of joy that is within you.

The Full Cold Moon is under the zodiac sign of Sagittarius. The term Long Night Moon is a doubly appropriate name because the midwinter night is indeed long, and because the Moon is above the horizon for a long time. The midwinter full Moon has a high trajectory across the sky because it is opposite a low Sun. This full Moon is also called the Long Nights Moon by some Native American tribes. It is the month when the winter cold fastens its grip and the nights become long and dark.

The MOON is at her fullest and this one is a biggy! It’s all about our feelings being expressed and verbalized. Your head may feel a little busy and our sub-conscious is out on full show. What was hidden is now revealed and you will need to deal with it! We will all react differently to this. Some may feel exuberant and free, others tired and teary, some are hiding under the sheets, others shouting to the rooftops. So embrace whatever comes your way this night!

The December Full Moon is also known as Oak Moon, Cold Moon, Winter Moon, and Wolf Moon. This is the time of the Dark Lord, with the Oak being his symbol. It is the time of rebirth. The zodiac association is Sagittarius.

Full Moon Blessings,
Cherokee Billie

Ten Essential Oils for Health and Survival

1 Logo by Hemant

Top 10 Essential Oils for Health and Survival

Many practitioners of alternative medicine are now encouraging the use of essential oils for minor ailments such as wounds, insect bites, nausea, headaches, digestive disorders and more. This is not hocus pocus. We are talking about the use of pure essential oils from plants and flowers that adapt to nature organically. It is our opinion that essential oils will become an important line of defense that will insure our health and well-being over the long term.

A wonderful tidbit about EOs is that they don’t contain any fatty acids that can turn rancid or mold AND the environment of a pure EO is too tough for bacteria to grow in. Most essential oils will outlive you and I. There is no shelf life for pure plant essence with the exception of citrus EOs which should be replaced annually. This is a very special benefit and, an economical one! When you invest in pure essential oils you’re providing your family a security and empowerment knowing that you can take care of most health needs efficiently, without side effects. Be Safe, be Well!

Lavender

This is the Swiss Army knife of EOs.  Heals burns, cuts, relieve insomnia, reduces stress, a powerful antihistamine, bug bites, bruises, sleep deprivation, inflammation, sunburn, lice.  Soothing to skin irritations, earache and depression.  Lavender is the number one essential oil to have in your survival kit, in fact I would keep two bottles.

Lemon

Known for it’s cleansing ability.  Add a few drops to water to purify (this was suggested in a seminar I attended but I have no proof, however, in dire circumstance, I would do it).  Great for intestinal parasites, dissolves petrochemicals in your body, effective for colds and flu, helps digestive and liver work, gout, sore throat, disinfectant, antiseptic.

Peppermint

Effective for nausea, digestive issues, allergies, menstrual problems, reduces fever, increase alertness, focus and oxygen absorption.  Great for headaches, muscle aches.  Antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, use for shock, colds, colic and heartburn.

Oregano

Effective in treating bacterial infections and yeast infections, relieves back and joint pain, inflammation, cold and flu, kills warts and skin tags, athlete’s foot, effective cleanse for GI health.

Melaleuca

Can be used as a first aid ointment, useful for skin irritations, bug bites, athlete’s foot, eczema and psoriasis.  Aids in immune function and supports against throat and respiratory pathogens, helps with slivers in the skin.

Helichrysum

For painful bruising, sprains, swelling.  Stems bleeding. Used to treat shock, help with broken bones, help with allergies, beneficial against infections and viruses.  Excellent for wounds, speeds healing and reduces pain.

Myrrh

Good for antiseptic needs, pain relief and swelling of cuts, wounds or bruises.  Can be applied on open wounds. Stimulates the immune system and blood circulation, promotes tissue regeneration.  Astringent and analgesic properties, eases coughing/tonsillitis and other infections.

Clove

With antibiotic and analgesic properties Clove helps relieve toothaches, headaches, and other pain.  Can be used to draw toxins and infections from the body. Aids in relieving nausea or constipation.

Frankincense

Enhances the effects of other essential oils, reduces inflammation, relieves headaches, supports skin tissue recovery, soothe hyperactivity, restlessness, facilitates clarity and focus of mind.  With it’s regenerative properties, Frankincense is important EO in all manner of emergency.

Lemongrass

Soothes sore and cramping muscles, naturally cleansing, warms feet in winter, an effective bug repellent.
