  1. Payment will be required within 24hrs of submission, or your manuscript will be disqualified.
  2. Winnings are sent through PayPal.
  3. Only one entry per author.
  4. All manuscripts should be final drafts. Multiple submissions of the same manuscript will not be accepted.
  5. Manuscripts submitted after the deadline will not be accepted.
  6. Entries are accepted online only. Attach your manuscript into the email – if it is copied and pasted into the email itself, it will be automatically disqualified.
  7. All entries must be original, in English, unpublished an unproduced, not accepted by any other publisher or producer at the time of submission. This includes blog posts or any other writing platform.
  8. Manuscripts must fall into the fantasy genre and its sub-genres.
  9. The author retains all rights to their work.
  10. BE SURE OF YOUR WORD COUNT! Entries exceeding the word count will be disqualified. Type the exact word count (counting every single word, except the title and contact information) at the top of the manuscript.

How to Submit Payment: Payment is process through PayPal. Send your entry fee to dragonknightchronicles@gmail.com or we will request payment within the 24hr period. If you miss the 24hr deadline your manuscript will be disqualified. All entry fees are non-refundable.

How to Submit Manuscripts: Manuscripts must be in attachment to you email. Include your name, email, and address in the email body. Place “Novella Contest Entry” in the subject section of your email. Send your manuscript to dragonknightchronicles@gmail.com.

Response Time:

The Winner will be notified (via email) by February 15th, 2017. The Winner will be announced on our site the day after the Winner has been notified.

Topic/Theme: Tell a tale about the forces of light and dark clashing. You will choose the victor.

Guest Bloggers are now welcome on Dragon Knight Chronicles blog site. We welcome all forms of writing long as it falls into our fantasy element that is featured throughout our pages. We also will welcome; how to articles, self-help articles, and ways to help fight writer’s block for writer’s out their struggling to keep up with their goals.

We do have submission guidelines that must be followed. They are listed below, please read them and follow them to a “T”, or your article that could help writers or stories that can inspire writers could be rejected. You may begin sending your submissions immediately.

Submissions:

Must fall into one of our topics for guest bloggers.

Topics Welcome:

Short stories- they must have a fantasy genre topic. The topic is up to the writer but must be appropriate for all ages. Word count limit: 2,500 (if you have a story that is longer please query first).

Poetry- as with the short stories the poetry must fall into one of the fantasy genres. The topic must be age appropriate. Line limit: 60

Articles- We will welcome any kind of self-help articles for writers. This being from how to fight writers block…to how the process is for creating believable characters and plots. We especially will welcome any articles that will help fantasy writers create their world and make them more believable. Word count limit: 850 (if the article is longer and you think it is a great addition to our pages please query first).
