March 2016 Spiritual and Magical Properties of Essential Oils, Fragrance Oils, and Herbs

Waning Half Moon in Sagittarius – Tuesday, March 1st

After a slow Monday morning the energy picks up as the Moon enters Sagittarius and we rely on people who have been there for us in the past, or seek elements from our history as Venus sextile Saturn. We need to pick up the ball again quickly even if we dropped it while we processed over the weekend, reassure one another of our dependability and follow through on the work at hand. . .

New Moon in Pisces — Tuesday the 8th

Touch the stillness
beneath the river
of change and storm
a glimmer of peace
a gift to calm
the torrents of our world.
On this thoughtful, sweet, low energy morning, we may feel as peeled as a poached egg. It is an important day to stay grounded, aware of our surroundings as we walk down the street. Entrench in sanity, because otherwise we could feel vulnerable and with one screw loose; some people’s psyches will fray. Take a moment to connect in a tender and real place. If people or things leave, look for what is now coming in…

Total Solar Eclipse — Tuesday the 8th

Solar and Lunar Eclipses occur only when the Earth, Sun and Moon align at the Moon’s nodal axis, usually four times a year, during New Moon and Full Moon, respectively. The South (past) and North (future) Nodes symbolize our greater evolutionary path. Eclipses catalyze our destiny’s deeper calling. Use eclipse degrees in your birth chart to identify potential release points.
March 8th: Total Solar Eclipse occurs at 18° Pisces. For reflection as the Sun dims: Question not who is the Self, for it is we who have woven this web between us, and ours is the community of the soul.

Ostara Chant

Round and Round and Round I go.  Changing as the Seasons Flow. Young to Old, then Old to Young, Life has Finished, yet Begun. Never Fear for passing Time, Never Fear you’ve Passed your Prime, With Changing Woman in your Heart Whatever has Ended can still Start, Whatever that is Old can be Renewed, From Black to White to Rainbow Hued. So Don your Turquoise, Dance your Dream Let Changing Woman Reign Supreme, The Let your Winter turn to Spring And Know you can do Anything!

This is the day that Beautiful Mother Earth brushes off her cool white blanket of snow.  We have survived another winter and now it is time for us to awaken our spiritual and physical self as we continue to blossom and grow.

Ostara was a mother goddess of Northern Europe who was honored as the bringer of the dawn and of the springtime.

Some authors say Ostara derives from ancient Celtic and Saxon spring holidays, later Christianized into the Easter holiday. Others argue this and other neopagan holidays are modern creations. Either way, many religions celebrate holidays during this time of year, including the Hindu Holi, Jewish Purim, Sikh Hola Mohalla and Christian Easter. Celebrate this time of the year in whatever way makes you most happy.

It is time for us to spiritually shed the dead parts of winter from our souls and make way for the new growth that is being released at this sacred time.  This is your opportunity to advance your soul growth. Do not let this moment pass you by.  It is easy to say that I will do it tomorrow or the next day or the next day, and soon you will discover that ten years have gone behind you, and you will wonder what you did with your life during that time.

Blossom just like spring flowers and continue to get deeply rooted in changing your life and becoming a gentle spirit that blesses everyone you encounter.  Just like angels and fairies send blessings as they pass by let this be your gift to everyone in your life.

Clean and shine the diamond of your soul and let that light shine before everyone, so that people wonder as you pass by-what it was that just touched their soul.

This is a wonderful time of year and definitely the time to send out your dreams to the universe.  By doing this you will see the growth of what you have put out.

Many blessings,
Cherokee Billie

Full Moon in Libra

Full Libra Moon

Moon: inward sense of self, emotions, psyche
By Day: the Moon’s sign sets the emotional tone. Those Born Under: Our natal Moon sign describes what makes us feel at home, how we process emotion, and how we handle our daily life.
Libra by day: Let’s be fair. It’s time to weave relationship between healthy equals, to see another’s perspective and balance opposing needs. The Libra Moon encourages sweetness, beauty, gentle comfort, and the peace of social justice.
Use this Full Moon energy to make the necessary changes in your life.
The March 23, 2016 full moon is called Crow Moon, Worm Moon, or Storm Moon. The ruling sun sign is Aries, which gives us a full Air moon in Libra.
The full moon in Libra is an ideal time for ceremonies and rituals to promote friendship and working with others.  You can use healing rituals if you have had problems with family and friends. Visualize your life and relationships in balance as Libra is the sign of justice and balance.
The Native American full moon names for March are largely based on these being considered the last full moons of winter; the crow caws its farewell to the season. The more northern tribes knew this Moon as the Full Crow Moon, when the cawing of crows signaled the end of winter; or the Full Crust Moon, because the snow cover becomes crusted from thawing by day and freezing at night. In Animal Medicine the Crow represents: Justice, shape shifting, change, creativity, spiritual strength, energy, community sharing, and balance.
Full Worm Moon (Algonquian Name) – As the temperature begins to warm and the ground begins to thaw, earthworm casts appear, heralding the return of the robins. The Full Sap Moon, marking the time of tapping maple trees, is another variation.
To the settlers, it was also known as the Lenten Moon, and was considered to be the last full Moon of winter.
In Celtic tradition it is called Chaste Moon and Moon of Winds.
So let’s remember the gifts that this period brings and trust that this is a good time of reflection and revising your journey in life. In the grand flow of life, these inward moving energies are conducive for fine tuning and helping to bring greater clarity, awareness, and focus
Spring is the Best Time to Clean Out Your Life — Start With:
*        Cleansing Your Spirit
*        Clean off the clutter around your sleeping area
*        Clean out old papers and receipts
You can take your time and do this cleaning over the next few weeks. It will benefit you enormously on your spiritual path.
I feel that all full moons are a special time for us to connect to the Great Spirit as well as the moon. Do something special in honor of this full moon.
Full Moon blessings,
Cherokee Billie
