Solar and Lunar Eclipses occur only when the Earth, Sun and Moon align at the Moon’s nodal axis, usually four times a year, during New Moon and Full Moon, respectively. Eclipses catalyze our destiny’s deeper calling. Use eclipse degrees in your birth chart to identify potential release points.

The upcoming eclipse will provoke a kind of RELEASE in all of our lives. However, as we approach this moment, the implication is that life will continue to wind tighter and tighter and tighter, until it reaches the point of eruption . . . .
Change is a’comin’!  Uranus, the Aquarius planet turned Retrograde on the 2nd at 10:31 pm PDT.  Uranus rules the things in life that you do not see coming.  It is about surprise or about things being Beyond your expectations.  As well, it is the Revolution of Human Consciousness, the ALL OF US, Humanity as a whole. . . .  Uranus turns in Aries, the sign of The WARRIOR, so the Fight is ON, both internally and externally, both personally and geopolitically.  Aries is the First Fire sign, so use safety measures in matters of Heat and Fire…and Temper.
The 12th, Mercury turned retrograde as well in the sign of VIRGO, retrograding back into Leo, to the point of the Eclipse.  Pay attention to details and be aware of making HEALING EFFORTS or Comforting others in the same.  Do the work that it asks of you and don’t waste your time on doing work that is not important in this present moment.  Save that work for later and do what is required of you in the moment that it asks.  DO not fight against Mercury, for The Universe knows what it is doing.  Relinquish thinking that you have control over your plans, be in the moment and pay attention to what is happening before you.

Representing our inward sense of self, emotions & psyche the New Moon in Leo becomes performance art. We are more ready to reach out, be seen, and engage the comedy and tragedy of life, though we may have to turn down the melodrama. The vibe is extroverted (egotism can hide quiet insecurity), warm-hearted, romantic and engaged.
When the Sunour self radiating outward, character & ego, moves into Earthy Virgo it calls us to harvest our crops, to sort the chaff from the grain, sort ideas and things—what to keep and what to let go.  Virgo inspires us to remember what we know so we can learn more, and heal our world. The mood becomes mercurial, curious, critical, and engaged.
Those born under the Virgo Sun help us think. Always seeking to improve, inquisitive investigators, hungry learners, Virgos tend to have a sensitive nervous system, yet are also deeply and sensually embodied, reminding us that our mind and body are always connected. . . .

2017 Year at a Glance for Virgo (August 22–Sept. 22)
Working overtime. Critiquing culture. Thinking. Digesting. Detailing. No one is better at considering every aspect of a situation than Virgo. Mix that kind of effort with a sense of humor and you have a winning combination that is unstoppable.
. . . It’s time to understand how to benefit from your goddess-given assets. It’s time to let your inner resources expand your experience in the world. . . .

The Planet Saturn, representing our limits, structure and dicipline, is host to an array of rotating ice ring systems consisting of stardust captured eons ago. The precision and subtle integrity of their bedazzling choreography sets this planet apart. Since Saturn is the most distant of the five planets easily visible to the naked eye from Earth, early astrological lore proposed that the rings of Saturn formed a “ring-pass-not” or a boundary in which consciousness is contained, beyond which lies the incomprehensible. This binding force serves to protect us from information we are unprepared to receive, or to pass beyond the limits we have set.
. . . Let’s practice beaming our soul-dusted starlight into the heart of the Milky Way, and reflect the gleam of enlightenment everywhere.

. . . Mercury retrograde is no excuse for these old threats, but it stirs the dust and reminds us to use strengths learned through earlier tough lessons. . . .
. . . we need to practice good basic Mercury retrograde skills to ease the way through Sept 6. Confirm appointments, track important communications carefully, confirm facts before spreading rumors, check for misunderstandings, and pad the schedule with extra time for the unexpected . . .
. . . Monday’s solar eclipse will be billed as the greatest show on earth with the Sun and Moon both in last degree of extravagant Leo. Expect grandstanding of all types. The world takes on an over-the-top operatic tone which may resonate for months to come. We can share this amazing celestial event, palpably feel the rhythm of the dance between sun, moon, and earth. . . .
. . . the last time a total solar eclipse swept the whole width of the country was 1918, and, significantly, 1776 was the last time a total solar eclipse passed only over the United States and no other country. That decade was also the last time Pluto traversed Capricorn, where it is again this decade. . . .
. . . An eclipse acts like astrological acupuncture; as the sun, moon, and earth align they unblock blocked energy and shake the tree, and knocking down whatever is ripe to happen. If there’s nothing stuck or hidden, we just feel energized. But if something is overdue and needs to happen, or some truth needs to be revealed, we can experience a healing crisis, to put it politely. This eclipse focuses on the Leo paradox: do I shine for the good of all, or do I make it all about myself and not care about the consequences for others. . . .
. . . those who have been hiding their light, now’s the time to break out of that shell and be more honest about who you truly are. For those who’ve been self- focused and damn the consequences, now’s the time for karma to dance on you. We can tap into the best of Leo, the generous, protective heart, true graciousness and respect, to deal with the worst. . .
