Fall is here with it’s crisp, clean air inviting us to throw open the windows and disperse the stale summer from our homes. It is a good time to energize ourselves with essential oil recipes.

Following are some energizing and uplifting recipes you may wish to try:

Basil Refreshing and Rejuvenating Aromatherapy Blend
1 Basil Essential Oil

The fresh, sweet aroma of this blend helps relieve the physical and emotional fatigue associated with stress. The spicy green basil nuance also inspires clarity and positive thinking.

Blend the following essential oils with 1 ounce of your chosen carrier oil:

10 drops Basil

10 drops Bergamot

10 drops Lavender

10 drops Peppermint

5 drops Eucalyptus

Swirl until all oils are thoroughly blended before each use.

Use in the bath (8 to 10 drops), wear the blend as a perfume oil (5 to 8 drops) on neck, wrists, ankles, etc… Place (3 to 5 drops) into 1/4 cup distilled water in an Aroma Lamp, Diffuser, or Oil Burner.

Uplifting Lemon Blend
Lemon

This balanced blend of inspiring and relaxing oils can have a gently uplifting effect on the emotions.

Blend the following essential oils with 1 ounce of your chosen carrier oil:

15 drops Lavender

10 drops Lemon

10 drops Neroli

10 drops Tangerine

Swirl until all oils are thoroughly blended before each use.

Use in the bath (8 to 10 drops), wear the blend as a perfume oil (5 to 8 drops) on neck, wrists, ankles, etc… Place (3 to 5 drops) into 1/4 cup distilled water in an Aroma Lamp, Diffuser, or Oil Burner.

Sweet Clarity Blend
1 A Essential Oil of Peppermint

Many aromatherapy blends formulated to be energizing can be a bit too brisk and overpowering. But this blend combines oils that yield an energizing benefit with sweetly scented ones, making a combination that’s pleasant and uplifting. This blend is wonderful inhaled directly from the bottle or diffused when studying for a test or sitting through a long meeting or place a few drops on an handkerchief.

Blend the following essential oils with 1 ounce of your chosen carrier oil:

15 drops Lavandin

10 drops Lemon

10 drops Peppermint

10 drops Spearmint

Use in the bath (8 to 10 drops), wear the blend as a perfume oil (5 to 8 drops) on neck, wrists, ankles, etc… Place (3 to 5 drops) into 1/4 cup distilled water in an Aroma Lamp, Diffuser, or Oil Burner.
