Back to Life

After an especially long and exhausting drive or flight, a grueling week at work, or a mind-numbing exam period — what’s the one thing you do to feel human again?

~~~~~~~
The number one thing I do to feel human again after an exhausting period is sleep, lots of sleep. Sleep helps to rest my body and mind. It is very healing for me. I do love my sleep.
My favorite thing I do after I sleep, is to go outside and stand on the Earth with my bare feet. I envision roots growing out from the bottom of my feet deep into the Earth. I raise my arms and envision that I’m a tree with the sun shining on my leaves/limbs warming and healing all of my insides, renewing my energy, grounding me in reality, then I’m ready to move on to the next task.
  1. That sounds good! I’m going to try it. I have a dog now so I just have to make sure I plant my feet where she didn’t pee.
    Visualization is good. Like surrounding yourself with white light for spiritual protection.
  2. This sounds exciting and I’ll surely try it. 🙂 I have done this visualization, slightly different, it is indoors and in a sitting position where I visualize that roots are holding me tightly and I’m blossoming like a lotus.
