Daily Prompt: Great Expectations

Tell us about one thing (or more) that you promised yourself you’d accomplish by the end of the year. How would you feel once you do? What if you don’t?

~~~~~~~~
I promised myself that I would self-publish my first Short Story Anthology this year. It is going along quite well. The one stumbling block is that I have not found an illustrator.
I will feel ecstatic if I get it published by the end of this year. If not, well I will set my goal for a later date in 2015.
It’s really not a big deal. I have been learning so much as I go. I probably wouldn’t have set my goal for this year, because I didn’t know at the time just how much goes into writing, editing, and publishing.
I will just mark it down as a learning experience. I will know from now on, how to set more realistic goals.
  1. Hey, a fellow publishing goal-setter. 🙂 Good luck on your anthology! I wouldn’t even know where to look to find an illustrator, but I’m sure you’ll manage to track down someone. ^_^
      1. Yes…I can understand that…that’s why I designed my book cover myself. @_@ Hopefully you’ll be able to find someone who is looking for exposure, or would be willing to work something out. Good luck!
