Share Your World – 2014 Week 10

share-your-world Your World – Week 10

Describe yourself in a word that starts with the first letter of your name.
‘D’ is for? I used to would have said ‘dependable’, but that was back when I was a ‘doormat’. Now, that I’m no longer a ‘doormat’ for other people, I concentrate on ‘What I can ‘do’ and ‘What I want to ‘do’. I believe that ‘D’ is now for ‘Delightful’. ‘Delightful’ because I am now a happier person and more pleasant to be around.

If 100 people your age were chosen at random, how many do you think you’d find leading a more satisfying life than yours?
Maybe 20. My life is very satisfying at the moment. I’m a grandmother, which brings multiple delights. Hubby and I are living in our empty nest, which allows us to do, pretty much, what we want to do, when we want to do it. I’m not running the rat race; I ‘work-from-home’, which allows me a lot of flexibility.
I say ’20’ because my bad health doesn’t allow me to do all the things I want to do.

If you were a tree, would you become a book or furniture? Please describe.
I would be a book; a large book containing all classic literature, for future generations.

You are trapped in an elevator, who would you want to be trapped with?
My hubby. I would not want to be trapped alone; I would be banging my head against the elevator walls. My hubby, who is retired from the Army, knows a lot of survival skills, plus he knows how to handle my anxieties and phobias.

Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am very grateful for last week. You can read about it here:
I am looking forward to a quiet week and getting back on my regular schedule.
