Daily Prompt: The Heat Is On
by Krista on March 10, 2014
Do you thrive under pressure or crumble at the thought of it? Does your best stuff surface as the deadline approaches or do you need to iterate, day after day to achieve something you’re proud of? Tell us how you work best.
I used to thrive under pressure, until it became a huge load of pressure; then I crumbled. After a couple of years of living under no pressure at all, I felt ready to re-enter the world of pressure, but I keep it turned down on low. Now, I thrive under pressure one deadline at a time.
I found that I work better under a little pressure. It helps me achieve the writings I wish to produce. I tend to work on projects that present themselves as achievable, so that I don’t get overloaded. If I do start feeling overloaded, I cut back fast.
