Share Your World – 2014 Week 9
Would you prefer a reading nook or an art, craft, photography studio?
A comfortable reading nook. It would have be a long one so that I can get all of my 6′ 4″ in there. 🙂
Would you prefer the TV in the living room or another room?
I don’t watch much TV; mostly just the local weather. We have a TV in the living room and one in the bedroom. My hubby wears earplugs to watch, and listen, to both TV’s. He, unlike me, lives for the TV. I don’t like the noise. It breaks my concentration when I am reading or writing.
What color would you like your bedroom to be?
Like you, Cee, I love the calming and relaxing blues. I would prefer the walls to be a light blue. I already have a reversible comforter, light blue on one side and dark blue on the other, so I could change that at a whim. Currently, my bedroom walls are brown wood paneling.
Would you prefer a one floor house or multiple levels?
Definitely a one floor home. We live in a mobile home that has been built on to. There are five steps leading up to the mobile home’s kitchen, dining room, bathroom, and bedroom. It is very hard for me, to get up and down just those five steps. I have osteoarthritis in my feet, ankles, knees, and hips. I would have to have a chair lift to get up and down stairs in a multiple level home.
Bonus question: What are you grateful for from last week, and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up?
I am grateful for my quiet, relaxing time last week. I am looking forward to my life getting back to normal and more quiet, relaxing time next week.
This week has not been good at all, but I’m grateful that I’ve made it through so far. On Monday, my mom had an angioplasty procedure. I am grateful that they didn’t find anything wrong with her heart.
My youngest daughter also called on Monday, to say that my grandson was sick, again, and could I come stay for a couple of days. I was a bit torn because I had told my mom that I would come and stay with her for a couple of days. She assured me that she would be fine. She has some caring neighbors and they try to look after each other. One of my mom’s neighbors said that she would check on her and make sure she stayed off of her feet for a couple of days.
I decided to go to my daughter’s because I knew she had to work. My oldest daughter lives close to my mom, and helps me with her; although she does grumble sometimes. It ended up with my oldest daughter taking my mom to her home to stay overnight, just in case she started bleeding at her groin; the site of entry for the angioplasty procedure.
I had to come home yesterday afternoon, but my grandson has his follow-up appointment this morning and I really wanted to stay and make sure his doctor said he was okay to go back to day care. I pray that he will be okay.
Hopefully, this week is going to end well. Our daughter, that lives in Kentucky, is driving down, as I write. She will be bringing our other grandson along with our new granddaughter, that we have not seen yet. I am grateful that they are coming down for a visit.
