Daily Prompt: Nothin’ But A Good Time

Imagine that tomorrow, all of your duties and obligations evaporate for the day. You get the day all to yourself, to do anything you please. What types of fun activities would make your day?

After my usual two cups of coffee, I would go outside and do some stretching exercises. I would go for a walk and enjoy the beauty of my surroundings. After my walk, I would sit in my outdoor swing, to rest a bit and do some bird watching; maybe take a few pictures. All of my bird feeders are near my swing, including my hummingbird feeders, so if I sit real still, they will come close. We, also, get some strange birds, some that look tropical, near, or in, the lake.
If I’m having a good day, I might clean out some of my flower and herb beds, to get them ready for spring blooming and planting. I love gardening, when my body allows.
Blood sugar checks, breakfast, and taking all my morning medications would be in order next. I would probably do some reading or work on my writings; whatever I’m in the mood for.
After lunch, I would ask my husband to drive me to visit with some of my grandchildren. Three of them are about an hour drive, one-way, west of us. One is about an hour drive, one-way, east of us. The other two are about a six-hour drive, one-way, north of us, so we don’t get to visit there very often.

Then it would be back home again, dinner, taking my night-time medications, and some more reading or checking e-mail. That would be my fun day.
