Share Your World – 2014 Week 6

This is a Winter Olympic Share Your World. What I like about the Olympics is that it is a world event just like blogging. The first two are specific to these Winter Games, the third is just a fun question, because I have an interesting answer to it. The last two questions can pertain to any sport.

Have you watched or plan to watch any of the 2014 Winter Olympics?
I watched some of the Ice Skating and I don’t remember what the other two events were called; one where they lay on sleds that speeded down a curvy track, and the other was a long distance event on skis. I also watched some of the Ski Jumps and Ice Rink Racing.

What is your favorite winter Olympic event? Would you ever want to be an expert in that sport?
Ice Skating is my favorite winter Olympic event. I’ve never Ice Skated before, but I’ve always thought that it was so pretty to watch.

Have you ever met an Olympic Athlete?
No.

Do you have a favorite athlete? Name sport.
Cam Newton. Football. I’m a big football fan, be it PeeWee, High School, College, or NFL. In college football, I’m a big Auburn Fan.

What is your favorite exercise or sport? Is there a reason why?
Football has always been my favorite sport. My dad was a big football fan and took me to games with him often, plus my oldest daughter began cheerleading in third grade and continued until she finished high school.
When I was younger, my cousins and I would play touch football.
Now, my favorite exercise is walking, stretching, and yoga. I try to exercise just enough to ease the pain and stiffness that comes with arthritis.
