Illusions, Dystopia, and Monsters: How the Truths of Our Time May Be Stranger Than Fiction by Kermit E. Heartsong
AMAZON SUMMARY
Illusions, Dystopia & Monsters: How the Truths Of Our Time May Be Stranger Than Fiction is a unique, captivating and thoroughly disturbing book. The author, Kermit Heartsong, explores the idea of reality as potentially more terrifying than any dystopian film, by a direct comparison with over 70 films.
Heartsong’s monsters are here and now, but cleverly undercover. His monsters are present day power brokers and high level government officials, with psychopathic or sociopathic tendencies, who are systematically exacting death and destruction around the globe.
Heartsong, an empirical scientist, has been a keen observer of the macroscopic developments of social, economic, and political systems for the past twenty-five years and has uncovered a number of troubling trends, which has led to the writing of this, his second book Illusions, Dystopia & Monsters (Tayen Lane, 2014).
BOOK REVIEW
Personally, I love a good book that grabs me in the beginning and holds me until the end, even if it is non-fiction! Illusions, Dystopia, and Monsters by Kermit E. Heartstrong does just that. His words awaken us from our deep slumber of everything is going to be all right, scares us, (me), with talk of the power elite, or monsters, and sheds the light on much information to which most of us had no clue. Mr. Heartsong adds some humor and satire to help the medicine go down; to let the truth sink in.
Kermit E. Heartsong uses the comparison of fictional movies and novels, to the reality of today. These comparisons not only awaken us from our deep slumber, but points out the Monsters that we will dream about, unless we keep our eyes open to the truth. If we take a good look around us, we will find that we are not far from the Dystopia of these fictional movies and novels. Mr. Heartsong also uses quotes, (fiction and non-fiction), to point out the many Illusions we are living under.
Illusions, Dystopia, and Monsters begins by breaking down any Illusions we may have been living under. The book rolls right along into Dystopias, where Mr. Heartsong lays down some ‘hard to swallow’ facts backed by numerous examples of evidence to support him. Next, the Monsters are pointed out to us; most of us already knew this in the back of our minds but, Mr. Heartsong wants to make sure it is in the front of our eyes. He masters this perfectly by being gentle, humorous, and using satire.
“Solutions” is the next and last chapter of the book. In this chapter, Mr. Heartsong gives us many potential ways out.
In Chapter I, Section 2 we are given a test to determine “Are You in the Matrix?” At the end of Appendix A, Bibliography, we are given the meanings of our answers.
Personally, I have always considered myself as very liberal and according to my test score I’m either at the exit or have already long departed the Matrix.
I, and probably most of you, have been waiting at the exit, waiting for a push from behind or for someone from the outside to tell us it is okay to come out from the “shadow and into the light”.
Thank you, Mr. Heartsong for writing this book and sharing your knowledge and your message. I loved this book, from start to finish. I highly recommend this book to each and every reader. If you are still under the influence of the blue pill, perhaps a tiny seed will be planted and will grow and grow and grow…
