Just curious, how do you feel about Amber’s use as an essential oil in environmental terms? Some feel it should not be used since it is a limited resource, and thus should not be ground down to make oils, but instead only used as a gemstone.

  I was under the impression that the essential oil is taken from the flower of the Liquidamber orientalis tree.
  But to answer your question, No, I would not want Amber the gemstone, to be ground down to make oils. I am all about preserving nature, especially the parts of nature that is considered to be a limited resource.
