Today’s Aromatherapy Tip of the Day: October 3, 2013 is Clary Sage Essential Oil Recipes for the Respiratory System.

Respiratory System Recipe
Good for relaxing spasms in asthma due to anxiety or other emotional tension.
Blend together
1 Ounce Carrier Oil
15 drops Benzoin Essential Oil
15 drops Clary Sage Essential Oil
15 drops Sandalwood Essential Oil
Shake well before each use.

Treatment is by Inhalation; 1 to 2 sniffs
Chest, Upper Back, and Throat Massage; Start with 18 to 20 drops as an upper back massage, move to the chest, and on up the throat using upper strokes and adding drops of blend as needed.
Bath; Add 15 to 18 drops of blend to a warm bath. Soak 15 to 20 minutes while inhaling deeply.
Compress; A warm compress can be used on chest and/or upper back in place of a massage.
