Musculoskeletal Injuries

The following oils boost the body’s resources to support healing for both chronic conditions and short-term injuries.

1. Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory Carrier Oils:
Arnica Oil – For Sprains and Strains
Hemp Oil – For use in Deep Tissue Work
Olive Oil – Provides Stability
Saint John’s Wort Oil – An excellent Anti-Inflammatory Agent

2. Chronic Conditions:
Fennel Essential Oil
Frankincense Essential Oil
Lemongrass Essential Oil
Peppermint Essential Oil
Pine Essential Oil
Vetiver Essential Oil

3. Immediate Relief:
If area is red and inflamed – Basil Essential Oil, Eucalyptus Essential Oil, German Chamomile Essential Oil, and/or Sandalwood Essential Oil
For Healing – Hyssop Essential Oil
For Bruising – Litsea Essential Oil and/or Myrrh Essential Oil
If inflamed (such as a sprained ankle) – Peppermint Essential Oil, Sweet Marjoram Essential Oil, and/or Vetiver Essential Oil

4. Lower Back and Leg Pain:
Basil Essential Oil
Litsea Essential Oil
Spikenard Essential Oil
Spruce Essential Oil

5. Nerve Pain:
Palmarosa Essential Oil

6. Spasms and Strains:
Especially for the Neck and Back – Basil Essential Oil
