INK: Fine Lines
By Bella Roccaforte
Book Review

Book Description: Shay Baynes is a wanted woman: by the police for a double murder, by two rival suitors, and by the evil specter that haunts her dreams.
It’s her twenty-first birthday and she finally feels like she’s in charge, out on her own and about to hit it big with a new comic series. The ink’s not even dry on her breakout first issue but even Shay’s twisted imagination can’t predict what will happen when the fine line between reality and nightmare is crossed…
She walked away once from the men who want to control her and now they’re back. But can she break away from them and the specter who walks right off the pages of her comic committing gruesome murders.

INK: Fine Lines is a New Adult Paranormal/Urban Fantasy

I loved this book! I was hooked from beginning to end. In “INK: Fine Lines” by Bella Roccaforte, the author shows superb writing skills with her depth in characters, the pace of the story, and the storyline. The reader doesn’t have time to get bored. I was quickly pulled into the story and could never find a stopping point.
I loved Bella’s writing style. I loved the short chapters and the switch from one character to another. This allowed me to view the story from several different perspectives. I can’t say that I loved all the characters, but I’m willing to give them an open-minded chance. I’m sure their real motives towards Shay will be revealed in books to come.
Shay is the main character and she is trying very hard to hold on to her sanity, by carrying on with her life as if nothing is wrong. She is a strong lady with a strong will; except for when it comes to men. Men are her weakness; the ones she turns to when she wants to be taken care of, including the man she turns to in her dreams.
I feel Bella gives us enough hints, throughout the book, to reveal the right amount of Shay’s childhood and her past mistakes with men, without telling us too much. I think Bella will continue giving us hints, throughout the books to come, to fully expose Shay and the other characters.
Bella writes with confidence, bringing together dark and light themes with a balance of danger, fun, humor, paranormal, and sexy. This author has talent! I thoroughly enjoyed reading, INK: Fine Lines and look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Book 2 is scheduled for release in October 2013
