Create a short story, piece of memoir, or epic poem that is 26 sentences long, in which the first sentence begins with “A” and each sentence thereafter begins with the next letter of the alphabet.
Zillions of Williamson’s
A Short Story
Abigail walked slowly down the sidewalk, heading home from work. Before she reached home, Abigail had a stop to make. Catholic Church of Saint Mary was on her right. Dead laid in the Cemetery to the left of the Church. Easing her way down the Cemetery paths, Abigail found what she was looking for. Frederick and Manervia Williamson was engraved on the tombstone.
Groaning, Abigail sank to her knees before the tombstone. Her father and mother were buried here.
“I miss you both so very much,” Abigail whispered. Just two years ago her mother had passed. Keeping her head low, Abigail cried and prayed. Long before she was ready, Abigail had to let them go.
Manervia and Frederick had contracted a deadly disease while traveling abroad. Neither of them had lasted the predicted 5 to 7 years. Only her mother had made it nearly 5 years. Perhaps her father would have lived more than 1 year after contracting the disease if the medication for the disease had been approved earlier. Quite unexpectedly, he passed in 2135.
Relieved and feeling cleansed, Abigail laid flowers on her parent’s grave. She resumed her journey toward home. The stately mansion, that she had inherited, loomed before her. Under it’s roof, Abigail had spent her entire 30 years of life.
Vacant homes stood around the mansion. Williamson’s had lived here for centuries. Xavier Williamson had built the mansion in 1950. Young Williamson’s had been born, grown up, got married, and had young Williamson’s of their own. Zillions more would come and go.

I admire you getting a story that way. Doubt I’d have got past C.

I admire this story very much. It was engaging and used all of the letters of the alphabet soup to perfection. I loved the use of the word zillions at the end, so creative and amusing too – great piece.
