Daily Prompt: 21st Century Citizen

Do you belong in this day and age? Do you feel comfortable being a citizen of the 21st-century? If you do, explain why — and if you don’t, when in human history would you rather be?
As far back as I can remember, I’ve never felt that I belonged. My views and thoughts have always been different. I could never understand the hatred, the fear, and why high society didn’t help take care of low society.
I’m not sure where I would fit in human history. I suppose it would have to be during the 1600’s with the Cherokee People. They had systems and beliefs similar to mine. I grew up knowing I had Cherokee and Choctaw Blood in my veins, but it was never talked about. Only when I got older could I seek the information I wanted to know.

I have a friend who is Navajo. She’s an atheist. I think she would find great comfort in her heritage,

I was astonished to find that everything I had felt and everything I had believed, since childhood, was right there when I started studying Cherokee Heritage in my late 20’s.
