Eat Yellow For Health!

For me, Yellow is an instant mood booster, reminding me of sunshine, joy, and happiness. Yellow fruits and vegetables are just some of Mother Nature’s health benefits. Eating healthy yellow fruits and vegetables nourishes the body, mind, and soul.
Yellow fruits and vegetables are nutritional powerhouses. They contain bioflavonoids and carotenoids that function as antioxidants. Eating yellow fruits and vegetables is a great way to get Vitamin C.
Yellow fruits and vegetables contain nutrients that will help digestion, the heart, the immune system, and vision. Other natural benefits include: stronger bones and teeth, wound healing, and healthy skin.

Yellow herbs are also good for health. The herb goldenseal can be used as a diuretic, astringent, antiseptic and it is also believed to heal skin rashes. Yellow dock is often used to help eliminate toxins, improve blood health and the flow of bile and other digestive juices, which can assist in the break down of fatty foods. Dandelion is known to assist with weight control, anemia and eliminate and reduce indigestion and gas build up.

•Illnesses that can be treated with yellow: allergies, arthritis, asthma, constipation, coughs, depression, diabetes, eczema, gallstones, gas, hiatal, hernia, hypothyroidism, indigestion, lymphatic congestion, motion sickness, and obesity.

•Yellow is a nerve stimulant; it can be helpful with depression, fear, and tension, and can soothe mental exhaustion.

•Yellow food often indicates the presence of lutein, magnesium, and vitamin C and limonene.

•Because it is a sharpening color that enhances alertness, concentration, communication, and focus, you will often find yellow on food packaging.

  1. I am somewhat allergic to yellow. 🙂 I do enjoy summer squash and bananas and a little bit of yellow in the garden, just to set off the blue.
