The Tooth Fairy (or Easter Bunny, or Santa Claus . . .): a fun and harmless fiction, or a pointless justification for lying to children?
I think they are all harmless ways to bring cheer, delight, joy, and magic into a young child’s life. I don’t remember being angry when I learned the truth. I remember thinking, “Oh what fun! I will get to play these games with my own children someday”.
I don’t think it is unfair to use them as behavioral tactics either. Parents need a little relief from discipline sometimes, and if “Santa Claus, Easter Bunny, Tooth Fairy, etc… is watching you,” works, then so be it.
It is all in fun, so chill and be merry!

Kids need as much fun and encouragement so all treats, games and pretend stuff really helps them in an already stressful world! Yeah for the tooth fairy and other good celebrations!
