Daily Prompt: Seven Days

You wake up tomorrow morning to find all your plans have been cancelled for the next seven days and $10,000 on your dresser. Tell us about your week.

I immediately call my middle daughter to see if she can get off work, then I schedule a 4 night-5 day vacation package to ‘Universal Orlando Resort’ for my husband and I, along with our middle daughter and grandson.

Daughter A and grandson C arrived at our Alabama home, from Kentucky around midnight. We all got some sleep and began our 10 hour drive about 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning. After several bathroom, eating, and switching driver stops, we checked in at our hotel around 6:00 p.m. Friday night. We were all tired from our long trip, but too keyed up to stay inside.

We walked the ‘Universal CityWalk’, dined at the ‘Bubba Gump Shrimp Company’, and listened to some live music. By the time we got back to the hotel, everybody was ready for sleep.

Day I
We ate breakfast at the ‘Three Broomsticks’ and spent the day at ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park’.

Day II
We spent Sunday at the ‘Wet ‘n Wild Theme Park’.

Day III
On Monday, we spent the day at ‘Universal Studios Florida Theme Park’. Husband and I watched, walked, and took pictures of A and C riding the E.T. Adventure, Curious George goes to Town, and many more. We paid for an extra night at the hotel, because we wanted to visit ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter Theme Park’ one more time before heading back home.

Day IV
Tuesday was spent at ‘Universal’s Islands of Adventure Theme Park’. A and C rode more rides, while hubby and I took pictures, walked, and watched.

Day V
Our last day. We packed and checked out of our hotel, then went to breakfast at the ‘Three Broomsticks’. We spent the rest of our day visiting at ‘The Wizarding World of Harry Potter’, again. This was C’s favorite place.
We ate a late lunch at the ‘Hog’s Head Pub’, then began the 10 hour trip home about 3:00 p.m.

We arrived at our Alabama home around 1:00 a.m. on Thursday morning. We slept late. A and C spent the day with us before leaving for Kentucky about 5:00 p.m.

We were very tired, but happy. I would love to do it again soon, maybe with more of the family.
