With ‘World Water Day’ coming up next month, I thought I would share this with you.
Matt Damon’s Epic Announcement: In anticipation of World Water Day on March 22nd, Water.org is collaborating with partners in the entertainment industry, YouTube and their community to educate new audiences about the water crisis. Today, co-founder Matt Damon kicks things off by doing something extreme. Watch his announcement video and find out how you can get involved.

Some Facts from http://water.org/
More than 3.4 million people die each year from water, sanitation, and hygiene-related causes. Nearly all deaths, 99 percent, occur in the developing world.3
——————————————————————————–
Lack of access to clean water and sanitation kills children at a rate equivalent of a jumbo jet crashing every four hours.1
——————————————————————————–
Of the 60 million people added to the world’s towns and cities every year, most move to informal settlements (i.e. slums) with no sanitation facilities.7
——————————————————————————–
780 million people lack access to an improved water source; approximately one in nine people.2
——————————————————————————–
“[The water and sanitation] crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims through guns.” 9
——————————————————————————–
An American taking a five-minute shower uses more water than the average person in a developing country slum uses for an entire day.9
——————————————————————————–
Over 2.5X more people lack water than live in the United States.2
——————————————————————————–
More people have a mobile phone than a toilet
Such an important issue! Thanks for sharing this.

Food, food, food! Recipes, cooking philosophies, kitchen gadgets, more recipes. It’s all wonderful but when do we talk about W A T E R? None of the other stuff happens without it. In fact, we don’t live very long without it.
My friend Debra posted a message about World Water Day coming up in March and informed me about Water.org and how Matt Damon is the co-founder. I watched the entire video and went to the Water.org site and really liked what I saw there!
Certainly water for everyone is part of the Human Right to Life. I’ve made my decision to help solve the problem of not enough water and I’d like you to take a look and see what decision you will make about it.
