It’s Valentine’s Day, so write an ode to someone or something you love. Bonus points for poetry!
Ode to Love
By: D. B. Mauldin
Love, you came to me so young and innocent
with your furry, fuzzy, frizzy feelings.
I was a romantic at heart and you took advantage,
you sucked me in, showered me with your magic.
My young heart just did not know
how strong, crude, and hurtful
you could be. You beat, you bruised,
you tore apart my fresh, sweet, and innocent heart.
Not once, not twice, but three times
you left my heart in shatters, torn to pieces,
until it no longer mattered. So, today I stand
not in Love, no more of that, just simply hold my hand.

Good song of choice. I have always loved it, even if it is a sad one.
