Energizing Meditation

Energizing Meditation by D. B. Mauldin

The Yin and Yang, feminine and masculine, moon and sun, dark and light, the balance of all. Yang is seen as being an active, light energy. The sun is a masculine, light energy.

The sun is a marvel and mysterious life-giving source. It is essential to life on Mother Earth. The sun warms us and gives us light to see. The sun emits energy for solar wind, warms Mother Earth, and provides the energy for life. Without the sun, there would be no plant or human life.

The sun is a powerful source. Our job is to help keep the balance between Mother Earth and the Sun. We can help do this by keeping our balance energized.

Begin by breathing, noticing your breathing, slowing down your breathing, and becoming one with the breath. Relax, breathe relaxation into all parts of your body. When you feel relaxed in your breath, begin to imagine the sun. Let the sun slowly warm you. Draw the warmth into your muscles, bones, heart, into all the deep recesses of your inner body.

Breathe in the suns warm energy. Feel your mind becoming energized. Breathe the suns warm energy into all parts of your body. Feel them becoming energized. When you feel energized from the top of your head to the tip of your toes, reach out and feel the warm energy surrounding you. Feel even further and blend with the suns energy in all plants, animals, and every human being. Imagine sending all this energy into Mother Earth.

Stay in your breath and relax in the warm energy. Embrace it in every way. Stay here as long as you need.

When you feel ready, bring your focus back to your breath. Slowly bring your focus back to yourself. Feel the energy that flows within you. Know that you are connected to all life energy. Know that you have helped bring the balanced energy back to Mother Earth and the Sun.

Breathe deeply a couple of times, then open your eyes. You should now feel balanced and energized. You should feel connected to Mother Earth and the Sun.

If you do not already perform yoga, there is a wonderful pose entitled ‘Sun Salutation’. It is easy to learn for beginners and is a good way to connect yourself to the sun every morning. You can find out more here:

  1. Love this. Great way to create peace that everyone can do. I want more Bloggers for Peace to read this, so you you might want to link to other Bloggers for Peace. For example, Raimy posted on a type of beauty meditation that would complement your post well. http://creative-guru.com/2013/02/10/inner-peace/
This way we can share our posts with more bloggers. Let me know if you need help making the links.

      1. Debra,
The easiest way is just to find a post that you like from the B4Peace topic list in the reader, then copy and past the URL address in your post.
If you want to get a bit more technical, you can type out the title, then click the “link” button in the edit post window–it looks like one link of a chain. A window will pop up that will allow you to paste the address. You can then check if you want this link to open in a new window, so your page is still in the readers browser.
You can also go to one of the B4Peace posts and just cut and paste the “related articles” they have at the bottom of the page.
Let me know if this helps. I will answer any questions you have. //bow//
