Sure, you turned out pretty good, but is there anything you wish had been different about your childhood? If you have kids, is there anything you wish were different for them?
My childhood was great! I wouldn’t change a thing. I had freedom to ride my bicycle pretty much anywhere I wanted to go. I had woods to roam in, and roam I did. I loved being in the woods alone with nature.
I had a multitude of cousins to play with. We were a rather large family and visited each other often. We were all close back then. I still had all four of my grandparents and spent a lot of time with them.
My children were able to experience some of this as they grew up, but inevitably times change, things change, people change; grow up and move away, get involved with college or a job, get married and no longer participate in the larger family.
Those were good days; simple days. There was a lot of love and we all took care of each other.
I can look back and know that I was truly blessed.

That sounds like a really nice childhood. I’m sure you benefited greatly from it
I did and I miss it, but life goes on. I am thankful for the happy memories.
Sounds like a lovely childhood. I may just have to do this prompt.
Please do. I would love to read it.
Ok, I did.
Ah, childhood memories. To be able to look back on such thoughts in a warm, loving manner is truly a blessing.
Yes. Truly a blessing.
misanthropicmuse, Sorry that I pushed you into that, but maybe it needed to come out. “HUGS”
Nothing is/was perfect; nevertheless I am very thankful for so many blessings.
