Take the first sentence from your favorite book and make it the first sentence of your post.
It was morning, and the new sun sparkled gold across the ripples of a gentle sea. Cleo looked in awe at the snow-covered Takhinsha Mountains around Glacier Bay. This was Cleo’s first cruise. Her husband, Ralph, had talked about taking her on an Alaskan Cruise since they had met. Now they were both retired and had finally decided to take the Cruise. Ralph had been stationed in Alaska for several years when he was in the Army. He had told Cleo a lot of Alaskan stories throughout their life together. Now, it was finally happening.
Glacier Bay Nation Park was first on the cruise’s itinerary. Then they would make stops at Skagway, Misty Fjords, and Haines. Cleo was looking forward to all the culture and history they would see.
She had brought notebooks, pens, and pencils for notes. Ralph was the cameraman and responsible for capturing nature pictures. Cleo was already writing the book in her head. It was going to be fabulous.
